·         When – by 8:45 AM, back to the shed by 11:00 AM.

·         What to bring – appropriate clothing for weather, work gloves if desired.

·         What to expect – choose a house to work at by placing your name on a clipboard located on the tables, grab a rake, (and a tee shirt if you don’t have one.) Be safe, work together and HAVE FUN!

·         Y.A.H.O.O. will provide tee shirts and all tools, (youth only use hand tools.)

Adults:

·         We need adult volunteers!

·         Adults may sign up on line on this site, or pick up a form at the Sterling Recreation Department in the 1835 Town Hall building.

·         Adults must submit a CORI form.  The CORI form is available on this website, however it should never be transmitted electronically.  The CORI needs to be dropped off at the Recreation Department in the 1835 Town Hall building to Kristen Dietel, Recreation Department Director.

·         Adult volunteers are called “Drivervisors”.  Our Drivervisors are special people who help our wonderful youth volunteers perform this very worthwhile public service. Our Youth Board members are at every house, encouraging and leading the work effort.

Where – At the shed in the Butterick Municipal Building parking lot.

·         When – by 8:45 AM, back to the shed by 11:00 AM.

·         What to bring – appropriate clothing for weather, work gloves if desired. (and a car!)

·         What to expect – Drivervisors are assigned a house, you will be notified of your house several days prior to your work date, grab a rake, (and a tee shirt if you don’t have one.) Be safe, work together and HAVE FUN!

All parents are encouraged to volunteer at least once.  It is our belief that once you see these kids in action you will want to come back and help again.  It is a very fulfilling experience!
