We invite youth volunteers to sign-up on this Y.A.H.O.O. website where they will provide their contact information and availability to work. We meet for four or five Saturdays each spring and fall. Scheduled dates are posted on this site and on the youth registration form.
The Youth Board will send volunteers an email several days prior to each work day inviting you to sign-up for a specific house using a shared electronic form. At that point you will make the commitment to work, and for a specific location.
- Who – All youth in grades 7 through 12 may volunteer.
- Where – At the Y.A.H.O.O. shed located at the Butterick Municipal Building parking lot (1 Park Street, Sterling).
- When – by 8:40 AM, back to the shed by 11:00-11:15 AM.
- What to bring – appropriate clothing for weather, work gloves if desired.
- What to expect – you will select a house to work at using a shared sign-up form circulated via email a few days before each work date. Grab a rake (and a Y.A.H.O.O. shirt if you don’t have one). Be safe, work together and HAVE FUN!
